Wahoooooo summer is coming! The weather’s getting better, the sun is out longer and longer in the day, the flip flops are making their way out of hiding, and best of all, picnic season is upon us. We celebrated yesterday at Sheep Meadow in Central Park, with a ton of great friends (and great snacks!) We even witnessed a skywriting proposal- turns out the couple were nearby us! And yep… she said yes! (phew for that guy) Continue reading
I love the Christmas season! We’ve been really busy around the house this weekend, getting ready for the holidays, decorating up a storm.
Yesterday was my three-year anniversary with my sweetie, so we decided to make a new tradition- trimming the tree and decking the halls on our special day! The stockings have been hung, the tree put up, and ornaments placed with care. Even our door is decorated! Continue reading
Seriously, what did I do before I had a grill?
The full utility of our apartment had truly not been realized until summertime finally rolled around. Having the patio out back is like having a whole other room- the catch being that it’s only available about half the year, which is kind of a bummer.

Both of us love to go to steakhouses, especially for special occasions, so I decided to bring out my inner Argentinian and craft up a super luxe menu for me and my sweetie.
One of my favorite appetizers is crab cakes- but I never thought to try making them from scratch. Turns, out these little guys are super easy to make, and by making them smaller, they are the perfect size for a starting plate for any meal. Continue reading
I have a confession to make: I have found a new love. It’s getting pretty serious. We have encounters at least once a week, and even though I didn’t think I’d be into it, I don’t think I can ever look back.
OK, so my new love’s a vegetable. Kale, to be specific. For those of you who are not familiar (I was not until very recently), kale is a dark leafy green vegetable rich with anti-oxidants, vitamins, and fiber. A quick Google search on “health benefits of kale” brings up 243,000 results… one of which told me that kale is good for everything from alleviating chronic pain, preventing cancer, and detoxifying the body.
